Definitely not a kid's playground. You're here for the Champagne, the vineyards, the cave tours, the tastings. It's stunning scenery combined with amazing Premier Cru vintages from the big boys, and delightful sippers from small producers dotting the roadside.
Between the bubbly? Marvel at Reims cathedral, or tour some of the WWI battlefields, especially the American cemitary at Aine-Marne. And please do stop at the Musee Franco Ameriain at Blerancourt, and give regards to APA.
Champagne also has one of our most favorite, favorite places to stay. Fine, we haven't been there in 12 years, but we'll be back. I swear. Keep the light on, Les Crayers. I'm ready to be pampered again.
You'll probably arrive in Paris, so spend some time there. And a few hours east lies the charming Moselle Valley.
